On October 24th, 2011, MTV announced the five nominees for the Worldwide Act category at the 2011 MTV EMA. After five weeks of voting, BIGBANG has emerged as the finalist representing the Asia Pacific region. Apart from BigBang, the other global finalists are Lena from Europe, Abdelfattah Grini from Africa/India/Middle East, Britney Spears for North America and Restart from Latin America.
Voting has begun as the finalists vie for the top spot! Fans can vote for BIGBANGand other nominees at www.mtvema.com until Friday, November 4, 2:59PM GMT+8.
This year’s MTV Europe Music Awards will be held at Belfast, Northern Ireland on Sunday, November 6th, 12NN GMT+8 hosted by actress Selena Gomez.
